,As a part of the( capacity building program) in the Democratic Transition and Human Rights Support Centre “DAAM”, in collaboration with Defender For Human Rights “DHR” and Friedrich Naumann Foundation Tunisia – Libya office (FNF) with the support of The German Foreign Ministry. Monday, December 19th, 2016 was the closing day of the workshop entitled (Strategic Planning Based on Human Rights Methodology) which lasted for five days in the favour of Commission Of Civil Society’s staff (head of Departments, branches and offices) including Chairman of the Board, Executive Director. That took place in Carthage Thalsso – Gammarth in the capital of Tunisia.
This is the second workshop in a series of activities to build and develop capabilities of the Commission’s staff. The international expert Mr.Hisham El Azony introduced the participants to strategic planning and guided them through brainstorming and group work to formulate the vision and message of the Commission as well as producing a strategic plan that can be implemented in the next three years phase.
During the second day of the workshop the Commission delegation visited ( the ministry of the Relations with the Constitutional Authorities, Civil Society and Human Rights) where the delegation was received by Mr. Mondher Bousnina the minister’s chief of staff who listed the Tunisian civil society’s stages of evolution, and its importance, as well as the ministry’s duties, plan, and future strategy and its role in contributing to the issuance of a basic law according to the Constitution during the next phase. He also interacted and answered the participants’ questions.
In the last day of the program the participants visited the office of the Tunisian Associations for elections’ integrity and democracy (ATIDE) where they were received by Mr. Moez Bouraoui the association’s president and Mr. Raouf Boutara the vice president. Mr. Moez Bouraoui presented the emergence of the association and its position from Constituents’ Assembly elections as well as legislative and presidential elections in Tunisia. He also presented his vision towards the Tunisian civil society and its substantial role in different fields and he stressed on the importance of the cooperation with Libyan civil society as each of them is an extension to the other.
During the farewell dinner, participation diplomas were distributed and the cooperation was framed by signing a memo of understanding between the following:
