The organizations and associations referred to below, following the emergence of systematic campaigns on social media from some suspicious pages aimed at undermining the foundations of the building of the judiciary and overthrowing its institutions by calling for the dissolution of the Supreme Council of the Judiciary and its attacks, and by leading a campaign of abuse and defamation against its President and several members, recalling the constitutional principle that the republican system must be based on the principle of separation and balance of powers, and stressing the need to respect the independence of the judiciary, particularly in the light of the exceptional measures taken and the assembly of executive and legislative powers by the President of the Republic, and considering the provisions of the Constitution of the judiciary, including the existence of the Supreme Council of the Judiciary, to honour Tunisia’s commitments under international agreements, in particular the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and an essential guarantee against derailing democracy, preserving the primacy of the law and protecting rights and freedoms, they:
